Ink Technology, Past and Present

Printer Ink Technology, Past and Present - Since the 1970s health and safety legislation and attention to environmental pollution problems has influenced commercial and technical trends for printer ink quality. Advances in technology also followed changes in printer ink quality. Thom Brown, inkologist or ink experts from Hewlett Packard (HP), spoke about the development of the ink used to be, now and in the future.

Quality has changed so much ink. One of the things I was doing at HP is addressing the speed, how fast we can print?

There is a lot of development in ink technology. First, print activities may be considered good enough just to rely on one or two things, such as the reliability of the print speed and instant dry or durability.

Ink and printing technology now, covering a lot of things.

Ink will continue to be developed so that quality printer ink and more feasible, such as ink design in order to reduce the cost of printing.

"I think the future will hold no development in terms of speed and reliability. Designs ink will continue to evolve in many ways in order to meet performance for demands,"

Common to all the major printing processes has been the demand for inks to improve productivity while maintaining or improving print quality on a diversity of substrates. Helping the printer to exercise economy and efficiency in the use of materials and energy has been another requirement.
